🎄RE: Christmas Dinner🎄

The Mayor and Councillors apologizes that Due to Covid-19 Restrictions, we are unable to do a dinner for the Seniors, and Firemen at this time. As soon as we are permitted, we will announce a date to hold the event or contact residents to have meals delivered to your homes. We look forward to our community coming together in the new year once this pandemic is more controlled and we can meet in a safe environment.

Motorcades Cancelled by Ministerial Order

The parade for this evening has been cancelled as advised by the Department of Municipal Affairs and Environment.

Please still show your support at 6:30 pm by lighting up your windows and making some noise on your own property. Blow your horn in your vehicle, blink your lights, beat pots and pans. Let’s make some noise in support of essential workers.

Stay safe.

Fire Prevention Week 2018

The Town of Main Brook recognizes Fire Prevention Week (October 7 – 13, 2018), and would like to issue a note of thanks and appreciation to the men and women who volunteer with the Main Brook Volunteer Fire Department.

This is a great time to learn more about the three basic steps that can be taken to reduce the likelihood of having a fire, and how to escape safely in the event of one.

LOOK – Look for places that a fire could start around your home. Identify hazards and take action.

LISTEN – Listen for the smoke alarm. There may be only minutes to escape safely once the smoke alarm sounds. Go to your outside meeting place, which should be a safe distance from the home.

LEARN – Learn two ways out of every room in your household. Make sure all doors and windows leading outside can open easily and are free of clutter.

Thank you,

Town of Main Brook
