For Immediate Release

October 27, 2018 Main Brook, NL

On June 15th, 2018 The Town of Main Brook received a $25,000.00 grant from the International Grenfell Association for the Main Brook Volunteer Fire Department in order to purchase four (4) Ska-pack Supplied Air Respirators. With this grant, we were able to provide our local fire department with the equipment they needed and will allow its members to successfully enter and handle smoke filled areas. This also meets the needs of our community of being able to provide quality service and equipment during an emergency.

As the nearest fire department to the St. Anthony Airport, having this equipment will allow faster response times to any fire related emergencies at the airport.
