Town Office Updates

In compliance recent directions from the province, the town office will be closed to public access. We request that residents that require assistance or have questions please phone the town office and all requests will be be reviewed by council prior to allowing access to the building by an appointment. Council and staff are all operating by computer access only.

Please stay tuned for updates on how to pay your property taxes online, or tax payers may also phone the office and we can manually process your credit card payment (no debit by phone unfortunately).

As you know the world is experiencing something we have never seen before and this is very hard on all of us. Therefore it is vital that we provide accurate and timely information to the residents of Newfoundland and Labrador. We applaud the work of our communities providing their residents with information on the current situation but we need to ensure that this information is coming from reliable sources.

COVID-19 Announcement

Effective Immediately, March 17, 2020

The Town of Main Brook wishes to advise our residents, that due to the current Covid-19 situation, the Town Office will be closed to the public until further notice.

What this means?

We are asking that our residents communicate by phone, email, or if you wish to make a payment on your Municipal Taxes, you can pay by Visa or Master Card over the phone, rather than come in person. However, if you need to meet in person for an important matter,  to call the office and make an appointment with the Town Clerk/Manager.

The Town of Main Brook wants to ensure we take every measure to contain the possible spread of the COVID 19 virus. Protecting the health and well-being of our residents and staff is very important to us.

Tips to prevent further spreading of COVID-19?

Practicing good hygiene habits

* Washing your hands often.

* Refrain from touching your face and shaking hands with others.

*Frequently cleaning workspaces.

If you have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 or someone who presents symptoms, please self-monitor any respiratory symptoms for 14 days and if you experience any symptoms please contact 811.
